Concrete block retaining walls are one of the most durable and versatile ways to tame slopes, create flat usable space, and add structure to your landscape. Below is a showcase of recent projects where our team designed and installed engineered block walls tailored to each property’s soil conditions, drainage needs, and aesthetic goals. Each wall is built to handle St. Louis weather and provide long-term stability with clean, modern lines.
THE CHALLENGES IN THE DESIGN
Every property in this gallery came with unique challenges—steep grades, clay-heavy soil, tight access, drainage problems, and existing structures that had to be protected. Our job was to design concrete block retaining walls that solved these issues without overwhelming the landscape. That meant creating proper base depth, geogrid reinforcement where needed, and integrating hidden drainage so the walls remain strong, straight, and safe for decades.
The new concrete block retaining wall completely transformed our yard. It solved our erosion problems and gave us a flat, beautiful space we actually use now

THE FINAL RETAINING WALL DESIGN
For each project, we selected block styles, colors, and layouts that complemented the home’s architecture and surrounding hardscapes. Steps, terraces, and planting pockets were added where appropriate to soften the structure and create visual interest. The result is a series of concrete block retaining walls that not only perform structurally, but also elevate the entire outdoor space—turning previously unusable slopes into functional, attractive areas for everyday living and entertaining.
