Natural Stone Retaining Wall

Natural stone retaining walls offer a timeless, upscale look while delivering serious strength and stability. In this gallery, you’ll see projects where we used limestone, fieldstone, and other natural materials to create walls that blend beautifully with the surrounding landscape. Each natural stone retaining wall is carefully designed for proper drainage, long-term performance, and a custom appearance that suits the architecture of the home.

THE CHALLENGES IN THE DESIGN

No two stones—or properties—are exactly alike. Many of these projects involved irregular slopes, clay-heavy soil, tight access, or existing patios and plantings that had to be protected. Our challenge was to build natural stone retaining walls that felt organic and hand-crafted, while still meeting modern engineering standards. That meant selecting and setting each stone by hand, establishing a strong base, and integrating unseen drainage so the wall stays stable and attractive for decades.

Our new natural stone retaining wall looks like it’s always been part of the property. It solved our erosion issues and completely elevated the look of our backyard.

THE FINAL RETAINING WALL DESIGN

For every project in this gallery, we focused on combining structure with natural beauty. Stone size, color, and texture were chosen to complement surrounding hardscapes, plantings, and outdoor living areas. Soft curves, stepped terraces, and integrated planting pockets help the walls feel like extensions of the landscape rather than separate structures. The result is a series of natural stone retaining walls that control erosion, create usable space, and deliver a classic, high-end look that only real stone can provide.

Commercial Structural Retaining Wall

Commercial properties demand retaining walls that are not only strong and compliant with code, but also clean, professional, and low-maintenance. This gallery showcases commercial structural retaining walls we’ve designed and built for offices, retail centers, industrial facilities, multi-family communities, and new developments. Each wall is engineered to handle heavy loads, traffic, and challenging site conditions while maintaining a polished appearance.

THE CHALLENGES IN THE DESIGN

On commercial sites, there is rarely room for error. Many of these projects involved steep grades, limited working space, existing utilities, and strict engineering requirements from cities, engineers, and general contractors. Our challenge was to design and build structural retaining walls that met all load-bearing, drainage, and safety standards—while keeping surrounding operations open and minimizing disruption to tenants, customers, and jobsite timelines.

Their team handled the engineering, scheduling, and installation flawlessly. The new structural retaining walls look great and passed every inspection on the first visit

THE FINAL WALL RETAINING DESIGN

For each project in this gallery, we coordinated closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver walls that perform as part of the larger site plan. We used high-performance block systems, reinforced concrete, geogrid, and precision drainage design to ensure long-term stability. Finished grades, railings, stairs, and adjoining pavements were integrated seamlessly, resulting in commercial structural retaining walls that protect buildings and parking lots, control erosion, and give each property a durable, professional, and cohesive look.
